Match Play
These are qualifying events for those who wish to earn points to make the 12 person California Cup team.  These events are also a good way to learn how to play Match Play.

Chapter Championship
This is a fun and exciting event for all skill levels.  It is an individual stroke play against individuals at your same skill level or handicap and scramble teams.  Winners would move on to championship regionals in Santa Barbara and then to national in Florida.

Cal Cup
The team is the results from the Match Play events.  California Chapters play against one another at Sycuan Golf Resort.

Cactus Cup
The Cactus Cup which started in 2006, has become one of the chapter’s greatest event.  It’s a competition between Team Orange County vs. Team Palm Springs/Desert Cities.

Open Invitational
This is a fun competition open to all skill levels playing in the Ryder Cup format; 6 alternate, 6 best ball and 6 scramble.

Roger Dunn Series
The Roger Dunn Series is in its 7th year.   It is a 6 game series with a perpetual trophy that the winner keeps for a year.  All are encouraged to play and win some Roger Dunn gift cards.

Similar to the California Cup team, the EWGA CUP is match play competition with an 8-person match play team. We can send more than one Cup team to the regional competition so if you are interested and available on the competition dates, please let the Events Director know. This year’s regional competition is to be held at Mission Hills in Palm Springs, September 8th – 9th. Successful teams will move on to Nationals in Austin Texas, November 2nd – 4th.

This competition starts in September and is a bracketed match play event.  You and your opponent decide where and when to play as long as it is done by the specified deadline.  Remember all match plays can be played at a LPGA AMATEURS event.
